In
loving
Memory
The first time I met
Billy, He towered above my head.
This soft-spoken Teddy Bear - many good things can be said.
He auditioned for my show - The musical called "Mame".
He played Beauregarde Burnside, which brought him lots of fame.
Oklahoma, Annie, Forum, Christmas Pageant too - California Suite, LaMancha,
Gypsy, just to name a few.
He was active in Lakeland Players, Good Company, CAC.
He directed, wrote and sang his songs to entertain you & me.
Bill was a true original, his voice, expression & stance.
All were unique & loveable - and yes he loved to dance.
He was one of the good guys - no not good - but the best.
Gentle, kind and generous a step above the rest.
Pinching butts a favorite pastime - He'd sneak and take a "pinch".
You'd turn around and glare at him, He'd smile without a flinch.
Green Bean Casseroles, collecting plastic fruit - The dirty cards you'd get
from him - sometimes were really cute.
He had so many talents - I could go on and on.
He made it look so easy like it was always such great fun.
All his parts were golden, a true master of his art.
Billy's greatest gift to us was the friendship from his heart.
For Billy is truly a star - no one can take his place.
I will always love his memory, his humor & his grace.
So when at night you look up high The brightest star above,
will surely be our Billy - just sending down his love.
